About Leslie R. Knight

Leslie Knight

Leslie Knight, author of the critically acclaimed book, Reflections on the Glass Ceiling: 5 Keys to Thriving in a Male Dominated Workplace, and founder of N.A. Mowmai, Inc. (think “I am Woman”) is an expert on working with men. A 30-year veteran of corporate America, Knight has learned first-hand how women can thrive, even in male dominated industries such as energy, information technology and consulting. Hailed as the new John Gray for the workplace, she understands a woman’s struggles and what it takes to be successful in the workplace today. Her unique understanding of men allows her to build enjoyable and effective collaborations between men and women, in the workplace and beyond, by exposing and repairing the hidden sources of war between the sexes. An inspiring leader and in-demand trainer and coach, Knight has helped hundreds of women learn how to step into their own authenticity as leaders, executives and team members. Knight was recently a featured speaker at the CEO Space Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada, along-side other luminaries such as Bob Proctor (The Secret), Greg Reid (author of Three Feet From Gold), Bob Circosta (Home Shopping Network), and Kevin Harrington (ABC’s Sharktank). Knight’s books, presentations, and training materials on Team Dynamics, Leadership and Building High Performance Teams have made her an in-demand, innovative expert throughout the corporate world.

A trusted advisor and mentor to small business owners and CEOs, Knight uses the lessons she learned from Fortune 50 companies to help small business owners grow their companies. For the past 10 years, Knight has focused on helping CEOs develop their leadership skills to change the culture of their businesses. Knight has a unique ability to teach new CEOs the skills and attitudes necessary to create high performance teams.

Knight began her career in Information Technology (in 1985) with Amoco, two of the most heavily male dominated industries then, and now. After Amoco’s acquisition by British Petroleum, Knight further honed her talents as an IT consultant with Gartner, where most of her clients were male CIOs (Chief Information Officers) and other C-level executives. Because of this experience, Leslie is uniquely qualified to help women thrive at any level in their organization.

Knight serves as the Executive Director of Staff for CEO Space, Inc. where she moulds diverse groups of individuals into high performance teams and mentors new CEOs in the development of the skills, attitudes and behaviors necessary to succeed as the leader of their companies.

Knight is also author Navigating the IT Minefield – Straight Talk for the Small Enterprise, a comprehensive and simple (but not simplistic) guidebook for small business owners (available at http://ITMinefield.com). Knight empowers small business owners to deal with IT service providers in a competent and confident manner, resulting in their technology needs being met while saving money.
